Attention Session Clerks
The new calendar year format for the Review of Session Minutes and Church Registers is in progress.
Reviews for all churches in the Presbytery will be in the Spring of 2010. You will need to have all records through December 2009 complete and in the traditional metal peg minute book with leather covers and the register when you come for the review. What you include will not change in any way for the minutes or register.
So we accomplish this change “decently and in order” it will be VERY important that you keep me informed of who your clerk is with an E-mail address, home mailing address and phone number. Thank you.

Come to Limestone Presbyterian Church on this Saturday, October 24th, for a 10:00 a.m. presentation of the Academy Award winning documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth” in celebration of the International Day of Climate Action. Film critic Roger Ebert wrote: "In 39 years, I have never written these words in a movie review, but here they are: You owe it to yourself to see this film. If you do not, and you have grandchildren, you should explain to them why you decided not to.” Meghan Gloyd will be the discussion leader. She is a UD graduate student who attended the Faith and Environment Conference this past summer at the national Presbyterian conference center in Montreat, NC. The International Day of Climate Action will be most widespread day of environmental action in history. On October 24 -- over 3,000 events planned in more than 160 countries -- to call for a solution to the climate crisis: reducing the level of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere below 350 parts per million. Our Book of Order states: "As stewards of God's creation who hold the earth in trust, the people of God are called to: use the earth's resources responsibly without plundering, polluting, or destroying, develop technological methods and processes that work together with the earth's environment to preserve and enhance life, produce and consume in ways that make available to all people what is sufficient for life, work for responsible attitudes and practices in procreation and reproduction, use and shape earth's goods to create beauty, order, health, and peace in ways that reflect God's love for all creatures" (W-7.5003). New Resource at the Interfaith Resource Center
(www.interfaithresourcecenter.com)

Searching for Angela Shelton picks up the theme of child sexual abuse and rape from the perspective of an adult survivor. Angela Shelton is an award-winning writer and producer who chose to confront her own past by seeking out as many women as she could find who shared her name. Of the 40 women who she interviewed across the country, 25 had been raped or molested. The film includes conversations with her step-siblings who shared the secret of life in an abusive household. She also confronts her own father, who continues to deny any wrong-doing. Throughout the film, Angela finds new wisdom and understanding leading to forgiveness. This 94-minute video offers intense material for discussion. To preview this video, contact the Interfaith Resource Center.
Dont forget! I will be attending the upcoming retreat at Lewes Presbyterian Church. There will be no display, but I would be happy to accept returns in person. Hope to see you there.
