Leadership Development Unit

The Leadership Development Unit has scholarship funds available for adults (age 18 and over) to attend conferences, seminars and meetings that will enhance their leadership abilities in various aspects of ministry in local congregations and in New Castle Presbytery. To be considered, the Scholarship Application Form must be completed and sent with a letter of endorsement from the session (or appropriate governing body) to the unit for review. Applications will be reviewed by the unit four times a year. Application deadlines are February 1, May 1, August 15 and October 1.

The Leadership Development Unit will award a $100.00 scholarship to any youth under 18 who wish to attend a Christian-based camp or conference. A member congregation of New Castle Presbytery must be the sponsor of each applicant. All recipients will be asked to provide a brief report on their experience, such as a few sentences and a photo or two, which may be used in Presbytery communications. Payment will be made to the sponsoring church or directly to the camp or conference. Scholarship applications are available by clicking on the link below.

Leadership Development Unit celebrates the diversity of programs experienced by the recipients and reminds campers and sponsoring congregations that we want to hear about your adventures. Please e-mail your stories and photographs to Michelle Woodson at the NCP office at mwoodson@ncpresbytery.org.
